Gutterball (aka Gutterball 3D) is a bowling game.

A wide variety of bowling balls are available to use and customize. Players can create their own ball by attaching an image to the ball. Power points can also be earned and spent to add to the weight, speed, and strength of the ball as well. (Giant Bomb)

All versions present multiple alleys having themes: v1 has Retro, Cosmic, and Wacky, whereas v2 has Retro, Wacky, Iceberg, Jungle, and Lotus. All versions offer "cheating": your ball shot is steered down the alley using exaggerated mouse movements left and right, and your ball is sped up using repeated clicks of the (left) mouse button. All versions provide commentators: v1 has Bill Clinton, a mobster, and a 'valley girl', whereas v2 has your choice of two out of five personalities.

Download #1 is version 1.3G released in 2003. It was made using Macromedia Director (v9) and claims to be able to run without accelerated graphics. Music is credited to "Ronkat the Funklectik".

Download #2 is Gutterball 2 version 2.0p released in 2004, with much improved graphics and sound plus pin physics. It was remade using the OpenGL engine! The music credit spelling was changed to "Ronkat the Funklectic" in v2. You are able to skip the 'cutscenes' between frames by pressing the mouse.

Another sequel, Gutterball - Golden Pin Bowling, first released in 2011 for modern Macs, is available for purchase from various online providers.

Compatibility
Architecture: PPC

Works in OSX 10.2 Jaguar thru 10.5 Leopard.
(both v1+v2 can launch in OS9 with intro music but then they crash).

Scored 300 in Lotus with the 14 lb. ball default characteristics, $5000 (imaginary) prize money, unlocked a "Magic Scarves Ball".

I have a little older "v2.0m" ... but it's got nothing better than v2.0p

I just scored a 279 game v2 using steer and oomph cheats; the challenge becomes getting the perfect 300 which is possible, but I've fallen short in like all thirty times I've tried.
