Explore forest, jungle, sea and desert in search of the... Enchanted Scepters!
The first game created with the World Builder engine, which was later sold to the public as a user-friendly adventure creation system.e
Despite popular rumor to the contrary, Enchanted Scepters was neither the first Macintosh game to feature digitized sound (that was Silicon Beach's other release, Airborne!, in 1985), nor the first adventure game to feature a point-and-click interface (that may have been ICOM Simulations' Deva Vu, also released in 1985). The confusion about this may result from the fact that the Enchanted Scepters box and disk feature a 1984 copyright date, but the game was in fact released in late 1985 or early 1986 (MacWorld and MacUser reviewed the game as new software in May and April of 1986, respectively).

I was watching that auction closely because Enchanted Scepters is the only title missing from my collection of Silicon Beach Software games. At these prices, however, it appears it will forever remain that way.
The seller has a valuable lot of vintage Apple II and Macintosh games they picked up in a house sale. A bunch of holy grail adventure games from American Eagle Software (Sherwood Forest, Masquerade, Kukulcan, Lucifer’s Realm) fetched eye-popping prices. Lucifer made the most: almost $2,000. Cranston Manor from On-Line Systems (Sierra) went for $2,250!
A couple of Mac games still for sale are unpreserved: Temple of Apshai Trilogy and The Seven Cities of Gold. Bids on both are in the double digits already. It would be nice to get these imaged and preserved, but I’m afraid it will be too cost prohibitive.
One just sold for US $1,202.00 https://www.ebay.com/itm/264698973617 and other listed for sale for US $1,199.00 https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Apple-Macintosh-Game-ENCHANTED-SCEPTERS...
The collectors’ value of Enchanted Scepters keeps rising. A copy of it on eBay attracted three bidders and fetched $350 at the auction’s finish this morning.

This is my favorite game of all time. Reminds me of grade one, with my buddy Dustin.
