I got elf Forest from mac addict 60/ aug 2001 in fun and games folder. That game has 666-A virus. My game on this website is clean from 666-A virus.

The point I was trying to make was directed at anyone who may have DL'd this game prior to you sending up the cleaned version. If they had run it then they really should be cleaning down their classic OS immediately.

I didn't expect that you would've run it, having detected 666 there.

Thanks for replacing the infected file.

Yes MikeTomTom, but of course, I did not run the file. Virex warned me as soon as the disk image was mounted. I repaired the file and uploaded it and removed Scott's infected file Smile All is good now! Thanks again Scott for this rare find.

I confirm there is a 666-A virus in the toast disk image

Which generally means, that if you've run this game on a Classic Mac system you will have infected yourself with the sevendust virus. Its about the only classic Mac virus I know of that's a potential nuisance. It infects every app you run, after the system has been compromised.

Please check your systems now if you've run this game. Virex 6.1 using the included 2007 defs will remove all 666 variants from Mac OS 7 - 9.2.2 systems

Scott, it seems that ClamXav (or at least some versions of it) do not even detect Seventdust or 666-A virus. https://www.clamxav.com/BB/viewtopic.php?p=3677&sid=55c29f53d3cc7cc1b670...

This is what Virex found in your Toast image:

I ran a scan with ClamXav for virus on Elf Forest.toast.zip. It said no virus in the file. I ran a scan on the game elf Forest. I said no virus in the file.

I confirm there is a 666-A virus in the toast disk image. I will try to repair it and see how it goes.

My browser complains that this D/L contains SevenDust-A and refuses to download it.

Hi, thanks for the upload. This ZIP file is not extractible directly under MacOS 9. Could you perhaps make a disk image (like a TOAST image file or a DMG file) ? If not, could you try to make a .SIT file? (not .SITX tough) Thanks.
