Have you tried reinstall the mac os 9.2.2 to fix the problem. Or check for extension conflict in extension folder in system folder. Or check duke Nukem 3D Preference file in mac os 9.2.2 preference folder in system folder.

I will till you the exact problem of the game. First I will tell you the specs of my G4-Dual 450 MHz ,64Mb Vram Ati Raedon 9000,2Gb Ram. It runs on a classic environment with Mac Os 9.2.2 installed.
Previously when I opened the game of Duke Nukem 3D on my classic environment,It completely crashed at startup showing choppy screen and crashed (sometimes classic environment also gets crashed). After then I saw this post I decided to paste the Duke Config file inside the folder. Then when I started the game it successfully started but the problem was It showed me the same screen.(The screen or options gets repeated and gets choppy). My conclusion is that after the fix the game atleast started to launch, but still doesn't work due to maybe choppy or graphics problem.
