Emulation
This game works with: SheepShaver, Basilisk II,

The initial germ of an idea actually came from MacSoft: near the end of 1995 they had been talking with Bungie about licensing the Marathon 2 engine, and wanted a game to be made using it. They also were really fond of Westwood's Command & Conquer, I mean who isn't? They wondered if the two styles of games could be mixed. Also, they had looked at what genres of first person shooters were available in the gaming community - both Mac and PC - and noticed that a modern day warfare setting was something which hadn't really been done.

   - excerpt from an interview with Richard Rouse originally for Mac 3D Total Action

Damage Incorporated is a first-person shooter based on the Marathon 2 engine that puts you into the combat suit of a Marine Corps sergeant commanding a team of 4 soldiers. Fighting terrorists and rogue militia you lead your squad through each of the missions within various locations in the United States.

Damage Inc. also features a multiplayer mode, in which player can each have their own squad.

1nd download: The full CD version, including intro music and all the radio voices. Includes MaraDamage, a utility that converts Marathon 2 and Marathon Infinity maps to Damage Inc. compatible files.
2nd download: the D.I.S.G.E save game editor that allows you to change health, armor, weapons etc. to your liking.
3rd download: is Orion_b4, a map editor that allows you to create your own levels.
4th download: is a collection of additional user-made levels from the internet.

For other games based on the Marathon 2 engine, see Marathon 2, Marathon Infinity, Prime Target, and ZPC.

I remember the ads for this and it sounded so cool. I bought and loved it. Today it sure looks old and funny but it's still excellent. I love how you can command simple instructions and they don't then get in the way. This is an excellent game.

Also, Marathon 2 was released 1995/11/24; it's unlikely all of Damage Inc. was made in under two months.
