Description:

Command & Conquer is set in the latter half of the 1990s after a meteorite crash lands near the river Tiber in Italy. The impact introduces an alien substance to the world dubbed Tiberium, which becomes of unprecedented value due to its unique property of leeching precious metals from the surrounding soil and crystallizing them. However, the process also causes emission of extremely toxic gases.

An ancient and quasi-religious secret society, known as the Brotherhood of Nod, proves to somehow have foreseen the potentials of this new substance, and reveals itself to have been investing in the development of technology to harvest the Tiberium crystals ahead of the established scientific communities.
They soon control almost half of the known supply of what has become the most valuable commodity on the global trade markets, and use these assets to sustain a rapidly growing army of followers worldwide under the leadership of a charismatic and self-proclaimed messianic figure, who is known only as Kane.

Following a series of relentless international bombings which culminate in the destruction of the fictional Grain Trade Center in Vienna, a wave of mass panic and fear begins to sweep the globe.
These acts are ultimately attributed to Brotherhood of Nod terrorists and their leader, Kane.
The United Nations Security Council realizes Nod has systematically begun with the unfolding of a centuries-old plan for world domination, and sanctions the G7-based Global Defense Initiative task force to intervene on its behalf, inadvertently setting a conflict in motion that will escalate into a modern world war.

I have this game, it's about 30 ish Mb. The reason it is small is that someone had the great idea of removing all the intro videos to each level. The Game originally came on 2 CD's, one for NOD and one For GDI.

I have:

The game folder and ALL the files needed to mount it on desktop, so no CD required.
Mega Missions - about 200+ GDI And NOD user created missions.
GDI and NOD saved missions
Annoyers Pack 1,2,3 missions
Wounded Eagle Pack missions
Covert Ops Pack missions
Dino missions
C&C Level Editor
Money Cheat
Mission making kit

If I had a space to upload them other than here I would, sooo if anyone wants it, tell me where to upload it and I'll gladly do it.

It works flawlessly running OS 9.x, I think It works on OS8.x too.

I already said exactly where to get it: KDX. That's about all I can say on here without causing too much attention to certain places! Tongue Yeah, back in the day stuff wasn't just handed to us on a website like this, we had to actually spend a few minutes to search around on some client/server p2p software (Hotline) and maybe even upload stuff (sometimes LOTS of stuff) to get an account on a server. Luckily these days KDX servers usually allow guest download.

Take it up with EA. Or start skulking through the shady torrent and warez sites on the web. Or buy it on eBay or Amazon. There's nothing more that can be done for this game on this site.

, this game was released for free by EA i thought!

Probably, yes. But even if, it is not allowed to other sites to host the file as well.
And EA could remove its d/l file whenever they want.

hehe, copies of the game could be found easily. consider other sources of files such as KDX or similar.

Oh, and no, we have no choice about removing the game from here, because EA will literally try to sue the site admin or simply contact the hosting company and demand that the site be taken offline, thus bringing down this whole site just because we kept one game on here. It's not worth the risk to lose the whole site for that reason. Wink

WHAT!?
OMG!
THIS WAS THE ONLY LAST EXISTENCE OF TIBERIAN DAWN FOR THE MAC OVER THE ENTIRE INTERNET!!!
on top of that, this game was released for free by EA i thought!
why are the links removed for this game???
http://www.strategycore.co.uk/forums/EA-offers-Command-and-Conquer-Tiber...
there are many more sites that say this... though the original EA release news had been replaced by more recent ones...

PLEASE CONSIDER PUTTING IT BACK! since i dont think this is part of the EA stuff that needs to be removed!

amatecha's picture
by amatecha - 2010, July 6 - 12:39am

Removed, along with all other EA games, because EA sent a letter to the site that we have to take down all their games or face possible legal action. You can read about it here: http://macintoshgarden.org/forum/copyright-infringements-take-down-ea-games

Has anyone gotten this to work under classic on OS X 10.4? I have gotten it to where it asks you to choose a side, after clicking GDI (the nod image was corrupt) it goes to a black screen and hangs there. I installed the ini and the extension...

The C&C CDs come bundled with one of the Input Sprocket extensions...I believe DrawSprocketLib. Make sure you've got that one in your extensions folder when you play, and not a newer version. C&C depends on v1.1b1.

I still have the original CDs (free with a MacFormat subscription) so I'll load them next week - complete with all the music and all the movies

Never mind, it's up now, and it may have been you that asked for Tropico (still to check if it is abandonware) and Age of Empires. I'll try to get round to these next week. A mirror of Myth II is scheduled for this week / weekend. Once I finish getting my other G4's (3 under the desk, another 2 and a G3 on the way) set up, I should be able to get through a long list of stuff pretty quick.

Nobody here is anyhow responsible for uploading stuff on time. Nobody here earns money with it. Not even the admins. If you need the game damn bad you best head for ebay and buy it for a few bucks, that'll be the safe way. Otherwise be patient and wait until "the idiot" has time to upload it. And be thankful to him for spending HIS precious free time for that YOU can enjoy a classic game for free....

(Sorry, no offense intended but you really sound very sassy in your posting. Well, maybe it's all just a misunderstanding ...)

I remember trying to run Red Alert via VPC on my Performa 6360 outfitted with a G3 300 about 10 years ago...it ran slower than molasses in winter.

Something that is noteworthy, C&C Gold and Red Alert both run great on Intel Macs (network play and all) via CrossOver. It'll play a bunch of other games too. Check it out, it's worth your time: www.codeweavers.com

I'm able to get sound in SheepShaver however after a while I lose control of the game. Any keyboard/mouse input is simply rejected, forcing me to restart.
