ChaosCastle is a multi levelled shoot-em-up game, that creates a good retro feeling. Part adventure and part asteroids, the gameplay is quite unique, different enough to keep you occupied on one of those long, boring, rainy sunday afternoons.
This game has been released as freeware however this was a long time ago, while a snapshot of the games website is accessible through the wayback machine, the downloads regrettably did not make it.
The games registration key was an actual file, if anyone has it or knows where do get it, consider yourself assigned to do that. In the meantime, if you liked the 30% of the game that this unregistered version lets you play, the freeware Amiga version is available on the other end of a Google Search.
See below, its former web site's URL

This is version 1.0 with many bug fixes from 0.9.

@Innes: I've re-packaged the Mac OS X zipped archive (restoring resources beforehand), as StuffIt 3.6 .sit for good backwards compatibility. 3rd download above.
I haven't tested it to see it playing or if indeed it is a full version copy. If you can try it out, please do and then we can perhaps tidy this page up somewhat.
Looks like the files from the full version have been damaged, probably by OSX which doesn't play nice with uncompressed OS9 programmes.
Contacted the developer a while back and got the full version. Just uploaded it to the page, feel free to remove or reformat if I did anything wrong.
This is an archive of the developer page:

The filename and size of the freeware is ChaosCastle.sit.zip (432k)

Changed this to a Disk Copy 4.2/Stuffit 4.x downloadable file format, ready to use in Mini-vMac, Basilisk and SheepShaver. Runs from Macintosh System 4.2 up to Mac OS 9.
