I’m sorry to inform you that Factor Software will be going out of business on October 1, 2016.
Unfortunately, the decline in sales has made this business uneconomic.
I would like to thank all my customers for having made possible this adventure for almost 19 years.Goodbye. — Factor Software

Comments
The 1.2.3 serial code works for version 1.4.4
This is one of my favorite childhood games. It still plays great on modern Mac OS X and I regularly play the two player with a game controller.
The following serials, found on a serial website, work for activation on 2.0.6:
Name: symmetry // CORE
SN: HEOXKIKPNKBOCIOC
Name: Serial Box
SN: HEXCIKPJJXKAX-280
Boom 1.23 serial :
Name: XOR^SS
Code: MEXCIAPHEAXAX-030
There are additional versions here. I have not put them on the page as it seems silly to put up every version we can find. A representative choice for different systems seems best, but I leave that to someone else.
Also if you trawl through archived pages such as this you can get some author information about compatibility
This game is just fantastic, the music, the sprites, everything. I've been watching a video on youtube of two people doing a play through. I was never able to play the game this well https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOmkLGTX7Xk
Cool Arcade Game for Mac.
Remeber playing this as a child on my old Mac.
This game was indeed created by factor software, a few years after they made "macpipes"
I believe it is the same BOOM, but may be pre-Factor Software.
I will leave it for others to judge its Abandonware status, but I believe it is the only bomberman clone for OS8/9?
Link to the the new download pls. It is almost certainly a newer bugfixed version.
Is this BOOM the same game? If so, its still being sold as a US$9.95 shareware by its owner "factor software" - including the earlier 68k & PPC versions, see here.
Of course as its a shareware you are able to "try before you buy", but whether it should be here while the original author has it for DL... What do you think? Perhaps a link to the authors site instead?
