Those were some really neat simulations of historical battles, though there is no way to get into this game without the manual. The thing I always liked about the Battlefront series (though I really only played MacArthur for a longer period years ago) was how you were actually playing as the General. You would order issues but that was no guarantee that your units would follow them exactly the way you intended. (whereas in other games you controlled every single unit and it would do whatever you desire). The simulation felt much more realistic that way, though it can be aggravating at times when your unit got encircled and annihilated because they didn't retreat in time. Still, thumbs up if you like the strategy / wargame genre.
