BAD DAY ON THE MIDWAY is a game designed and scored by the influential avant garde-pop band The Residents. One of the most innovative and twisted games in the history of the medium, the player can switch into the minds of various people living on the Midway.

The storyline centers on a serial killer and a plague that struck, and through encounters with other characters, slowly but gradually, the story of the various individuals is unearthed.

Also, you can look right into the thoughts of the character you inhabit - at the bottom of the screen flashes a text with what's going on inside of the body you inhabit.

Find out who's a manic killer, who the mysterious Coma Man is, and just why everybody seems to be a nutter around here...

Works in classic. I haven't tested this in Basilisk II or SheepShaver, but it should run.

Besides Bad Day on the Midway, there were Freak Show and Gingerbread Man. Artist Jim Ludtke worked on all of these as well as Hell Cab, which shares some of his animations with Freak Show.

I'm thinking it was Hellcab, which I haven't played. Maybe it just included excerpts of some of their work or something.

yeah I do most my computer buying on trademe. And old mac games are soo hard to track down in NZ too. Ive had to end up buying whole systems just so I could get the CD collection that come with them lol. Been very worth the buys though.

Especially one I just bought; imac 600mhz 1GB RAM and 130GBHD, with OS 9.2.2 installed. Came with lower specs so I just put RAM and HD in separately. Everything inside the machine, even CDs all in near new condition. Best old mac ive had soo far, $160 NZD pricey yes but worth the coin. Whats interesting is it came with an official OS 9.2.2 install CD, never knew there was such a thing haha.

Another mac I bought was a Performa directors edition 5400 powerPC, I think it was like $40 NZD or so, arrived in a huge box. Wasnt expecting much till I had a good look around and started pulling out all these cool old mac game CDs and other software Smile still got it with a brand new 1GB HD and OS 8.1, no freezing whatsoever... Smile

Currently bidding on another imac G3, and it appears to be last of the fastest ones they made. 700mhz and then I'll just add 1GB and my other 130GB HD, do another install of OS 9.2.2. Two oldish speedy macs, theyl be looking healthy at least!

Thanks again.

No problem, I've seen it a few times on eBay since I purchased it.

Had a periodic look on trademe while I was over in Brisbane/Tauranga, not a lot of Mac stuff for sale there, and 3x what I'd pay for it over here. ie. NZ$600 for a QuickSilver Mac, NZ$150 for Office 2001. Maybe just a bad month, but I feel your pain.
A terrible month over here for finding a dual processor / dual core G5, January they went for £220-260, this month it's £360-450 and quad-core 2.5GHz models going for £650. ScrumpyMacs just put up 27 G5s at the top end prices so it should stop it going up any more for a while.
