Android (game) Demo
Year 2008 Universal Binary and .swf alternative

Puzzle game from Jadeware/JadeGame. The Jadeware website is gone, and your computer's networking needs to be disconnected to play the Mac OS version. Swf version hasn't been tried on-line, yet.

This game can sometimes be found having an annotated spelling with two dots over the 'i' how seen in these screenshots. Android looks French in origin and was started in the year 2002 long before that other famous Android thing. This folder (1st dL) was updated in 2008 as Universal Binary and requires OS X 10.3.9 or Tiger/Leopard or higher. It looks like on being updated, older/demoversion files were moved out of and alongside the .app file bundle. One of these older stage files had a design bug that potentially made it impossible to beat, if the two sets of stage files are compared it reveals this one tiny difference. By the way, year 2009 is when that other Android thing sapped this one's name, and this game began fading into history.

2nd dL is a hack on the first dL, it has been "cleaned up" to half its 'original' filesize and I got it to begin on unlocked access to all 100 episodes and stages. But only episode one (stages 1-20) will launch, and any of stage 10-20 cannot be officially won or else the app quits, due to perceived demomode termination. Press the escape key ahead of winning stages 10-20 to continue playing. With some effort all 100 stages can be played by quitting and renaming all content files called 1-20.

3rd dL is .swf year 2008 "Flash" movie file of this same game, and slight differences. Stages are here called 'Levels', and it contains a level builder option. Can be played offline but freezes if it tries to upload a high score, and freezes if the level builder submits your design. Not sure yet if this'd be called the Demo or a Full version.

The game is like Lode Runner. It's a single-screen (non scrolling) platformer involving gold and bombs. The goal is get Android to exit. And all the gold and treasures for points without caught by bad guy on level. You will only play first ten or twenty stages of demo.

This games will work in mac os x 10.4.11 and mac os x 10.5.8 but you have disable the internet. If have net barrier installed in mac os x 10.4.11 and mac os x 10.5.8 and on net barrier menu you can set net barrier to no networks. That will disable the internet. That will run Android.

Compatibility
Architecture: PPC x86 (Intel:Mac)

OS X 10.3.9 and higher to run the native app version,
or, Adobe Flash player v9 on OS X 10.2.8 swf version.

A nice little Loderunner knock-off. Runs a bit unplayably fast under High Sierra / Flash Player 32, but haven't tried it under emulated older MacOS / Flash Player versions. It did repeat one of the levels (I think it was level 2 repeated as level 4). A little weird that you have to stand where the bomb is to drop through to lower areas, and the bombs don't kill the guards either.

Being a Flash game, it's not really a Mac game (other than the standalone version's internal player). I've got a few of these .swf games if they're really wanted here.

The SWF dL now has an original copy plus a new edited copy which can be "resized".

This idea works for me. I use net barrier for both os x and set no network. Both games works in mac os x 10.4.11 and mac os x 10.5.8.

Could be crashing upon the network interaction. Both dLs work for me both OS 10.4 & 10.5.8 Mirror Door 2003 Radeon 9600. But I have network not connected, in fact I have both major Network types (Ethernet , Firewire) disabled at system extensions. Hopefully just network connection off can let it play for you.

Thank you for fix the game. My old game did not work for me on mac os x 10.4.11 or mac os x 10.5.8 on Power mac G4 1.25 Ghz Mirror door 2003 with Radeon 9800 with 128Mb with 2G of Ram.

I Retested both game on mac os x 10.4.11 and mac os x 10.5.8. They both crashed on both. The both games will load to checking online scores. Then both games will crashed.

I made a 2nd download by hacking the first download. These are actually the full non-demo versions but aren't unlocking while there have been serials plugged in. This native Mac OS X game is near to being lost to time, so I intervened. I fixed a spelling mistake in the game file, i erased unnecessary files cutting the package length in half because there were two sets of files duplicated, and I managed to increase the number of playable "stages" from 10 to now 20.

Game has 5 Levels (called "Episodes" in-game) and each episode has 20 stages, total 100 stages. The 1st dL demo stops at stage 10. The 2nd dL demo has all 100 stages unlocked but the demo identifier is allowing just the first 20. Completing stage 1-9 sends you to the next stage, but, successfully completing any of stage 10-20 ends the demo and quits the program automatically. It's probably easy to hack further eventually unlocking this whole game. I can play stages 21-40/41-60/61-80/81-100 by renaming files but these newly playable Episodes are all skinned the same as Episode 1 when each Episode was supposed to have its own graphics set.

Works 4me 10.4.11 and 10.4.8 , nice little game but it is simply a Demo and Lode Runner. With a name like Android, can't find it by searching...
