Guides on emulating older games

Absolute Zero is a science-fiction flight sim first-person shooter, with action taking place over 30 missions in three different locations. In each mission the player controls one of seven characters, each with their own vehicle.

There's a new alien race on the prowl, and you've got to help the people escape before it's too late. Using a series of unique vehicles, you'll transport citizens to safety while using an array of weapons to fend off extra-terrestrial attackers. There are a total of 30 missions to keep you occupied, and three different environments in which all of the action takes place: space, land, and beneath the moon's surface. Space travel might be easy in the 24th century, but battling aliens is still difficult.

- Fly And Drive 7 Different Vehicles With 13 Different Weapon Systems
- Control The Actions Of 7 Different Characters Through 30 Missions In A Complex, Interwoven Plot
- Full-Motion Video Sequences And Interactive Soundtrack With Complex, Layered Sounds And Professional Voice-Over

"In the 24th century, on the frozen Jovian moon of Europa, earth has established a colony to extract water from the moon. One of the mining facilities accidentally discovers on their excavations members of a long-buried alien race. The creatures, now awake, slaughter all the miners and destroy the moon's capital city. It's up to you now to defend what's left of the colony and eliminate the aliens, or at least hold them off until help arrives.

Gameplay consists of 3D space combat action (though mostly on the moon's surface) with a twist: you don't play a specific character or campaign, instead you are placed on the shoes of different characters with each new mission. Each trying to do their best to survive using 7 different vehicles, from starfighters, to recon scouts, to ground-based turrets." --MobyGames.com

SheepShaver is first choice, unless you should own a G4, G5 running Tiger and Classic mode.
If you can, use a OSX host for SS - 10.6 or better.
GNU/Linux or WIN hosts should do too, but you will loose some performance, given you are using equal hardware.
Emaculation has SS builds available for each platform.
Even with a Windows host, SS should be about six times faster on a C2D 3GHz than your 60MHz PPC 601.

I bought this game back in the day, but it ran terribly slow on my 6100. What's the best way to run this now? Sheepshaver on a PC?
