Guides on emulating older games

Aargon Deluxe is a logic puzzle game where the player must build light machines using lasers and various tools to manipulate the lasers. Tools include prisms, mirrors, splitters, refractors, color converters and more... In order to win the player must find a light pattern to hit all of the colored coins on the level at once. There are obstacles to consider, like mirror eating slimes, and exploding barrels of toxic waste. The game features 120 puzzles, 60 tutorial and hint levels, as well as a fully integrated level editor. (MobyGames)

There were also three add-on level packs available: The Classic pack has 120 classic puzzles along the lines of the ones in the main version. The Science Fiction level pack has (surprise!) a science fiction theme, and the Smooth Sailing pack has 120 levels of nautical fun. The SciFi and Smooth Sailing packs have all different graphics, some new pieces and sounds. (From the Read Me)

Aargon Deluxe Gold is a version of Aargon Deluxe with the Classic Level Pack included. This augmented version was sold by Red Marble as a special deal.

The Science Fiction level pack and the Smooth Sailing pack are also available on this page.

Architecture: PPC (Carbonized) x86 (Windows)

Mac OS X 10.1 at least

The game installs in Classic Mac OS (Mac OS 9.2.2 specifically in my case) but fails to launch with an error about CarbonLib not starting. I have tried a number of CarbonLib versions without success so I am listing this game as Mac OS X only unless someone can get it to work on a classic Mac OS.

Windows version designed for 9X-XP, seems like it might work on Win10 as well.
