Sequel to the off-road racing game 4x4 Evolution.
When the developer's contract with the featured car manufacturers expired, they made the game (minus the licensed vehicles) available for free. An active user community has stepped in to provide literally thousands of replacement vehicles, and hundreds of new tracks.
See a detailed description of this game at an archived page from Apple.com.

You're right, unfortunately I mixed it.
4x4 evo 2 wqs made for mac os x, 4x4 evolution was the one that was only for the mac os x beta, you go it backwards for both situations. The applications were never beta only the first version was made to run only on mac os x beta
The Mac OS X version included in this package was beta from the very beginning.
Right, the (previously available) Purchase link above and the 4x4evolution.net page seems to be dead now.

Can this get put back up - only used copies are out in the wild now.
you guys might want to read this page the site is gone http://www.4x4evolution.net/Revival/uncategorized/the-passing-of-kc-vale/
We think we should not add a downloadable file to this page.
Does anyone has the complete version of the game, that is with complete vehicles and all, Because on their official site, the game does not include several things like no trucks etc. So if anyone have the complete game, Please do upload. Thank You
Such a great game

It may also have been because we're indirectly linking to the download; the site requires registration in order to download files as they have so many. In this way they limit daily bandwidth usage. That isn't to say that this is the case, however.
@IIGS_User:
You may want to email the site admin. Here is what he suggests:
Possibly your IP address somehow got on a blacklist ... with dynamic IPs being common, that's not unlikely.
Afraid not. The developer supposedly gave this site "the EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS" to distribute the freeware release. ("EXCLUSIVE RIGHTS" is in bold, italic, bright red, large print.)
The download link "http://vales.com/evo2/freeEvo2.asp" tells me "Your internet connection has been banned from vales.com with extreme prejudice", but's not bad since I own this game.
Are there other locations available to download it from?
