Freeverse was founded as a shareware company in 1994 by Ian Lynch Smith. Freeverse's first product, a version of Hearts Deluxe for the Mac, contained a gaming artificial intelligence based on Ian's studies in Cognitive Science (the subject for which he received his concentration from Vassar College).

1) Set the date on your Mac to 3 September 2004
2) Enter S/N Name: Santa Claus and S/N: S870-5000-1800-0804-U266
3) Register
4) You can now restore the date on your Mac
