Why Am I Being Labeled as Anonymous? (and a Pic Issue)

A couple of days ago I noticed that the revisions I made to a page were labeled as being made by an anonymous user. I was testing iCab for Mac OS 9 at the time so I thought it was a browser thing. But now I'm using Firefox on Windows and it's the same thing. This only happens when I do revisions such as the one I did a few hours ago to The Colony, but not when I create a page like when I uploaded Star Wars: Rebel Assault.

By the way I uploaded five pics to that page and yet only the first one shows up. The others appears as a text link that simply says "Screenshot." Yet when you edit the page, the other pics show up fine.

Regarding the missing images - I did a download of the Screenshot links - and I found it is downloading an 8Kb png file. The file is unrenderable in photoshop.

Somehow the file is getting corrupted or not being uploaded properly. Please be sure to turn thumbnail saving off in your graphic editing program. It is also possible that the file was corrupted during transit. I'd check the file size - and if it's over 8Kb re-upload. If not, I'd recommend recreating the images - as the current website copies aren't complete.

As for you being listed as anonymous - it beats me - but I would try flushing your cookies, history, cache, etc from your web browser.

You're right: the pics must have been corrupted during transit, and I blame my internet provider for that. They have no trouble with how much you download but they are quite reluctant when it comes to uploads. It took me several tries to upload the 200 MB sit file because somehow the connection always "dropped" after the first 100 MB. Or is it they are using Windows on their server? Wink

I'll recreate the pics. Thanks for your help. It's mucho appreciatted.

Oh I don't think the anonymous problem has something to do with the cache or things like that. The problem is present on two different machines using two different browsers. It must be a server-side issue.
