What to do with game utilities?

Hi,

I have a question regarding game utilities. Where should we put these to? To make clear what I'm asing: I have a cheat program for Civilization I, which let's you edit any save game and give you or all civilizations extra cash, settlers, technology etc. Makes the game much more interesting to start out with five settlers and advanced techs for every player:-)

Anyway, I've been wondering where we should put these up? Maybe you would add a third category, aside from games and apps, which you call updates/mods/utilities ? I think it would be cool to have an extra category for these, also have some extra Sim City 2000 scenarios I got like 7-8 years ago from a fanpage that went down soon after and I bet a lot of people would appreciate new contents for these cool old classics.

Just an idea, but you may consider it?

There's a Games --> Utilities category for these.

You mean Apps --> Utilities? But there a wide variety of things in there. Why not creating another category for updates & Mods? Right now if I want to add e.g. an update to Civilization - Call to Power, I have to download the package (372.46 MB), include my update and then upload it again. That's where a good load of your traffic comes from - in this case 744,92 MB for simply enclosing an update. And all the users would have to download it again (!) in order to get the update. See the point? I think bertyboy had mentioned something similiar before in another thread. If you want to save traffic costs, this would be a good way I assume. But of course - you're the admin, you decide Smile
