Virtual PC 7.0.2

Is this abandonware or is it technically still supported by Microsoft i know in late 2005 Microsoft discontinued releasing newer versions of it because of Apples Switch to Intel. If it is abandonware pleas let me know and i will upload it. I have Windows Xp running on my Imac g4 with leopard. Runs Awesome :].

7.0.2 is outdated. Latest version is 7.0.3:

It's no longer being sold and it seems there'll be no more updates, but how about its age? Usually a program becomes abandonware between five to ten years after the last update or the release date if there were no updates. In this case the last update was in August 2007, a little over two years ago. I say it's still too early to call it abandonware.

Nevertheless, with more recent software (like CrossOver) for running windows applications on macs, this is outdated. I'd say go for it.

Then, how come Microsoft gives away this program for free, (Win Version)
I downloaded it from Microsoft's WebSite not too long ago to run old Win 98/DOS programs I need.
isn't the same for Mac?

No, Mac version has not been set for free like PC version.
I would love they had do.
