Unwanted Mac Games

I've got some old Mac games in my garage and I'd rather see them put to good use than throw them away. Obviously this site is about uploaded games (which is something I wouldn't be able to do as all the games are on 3.5" floppy disks and I have neither a disk drive nor easy access to one) but if anyone is interested in these, or could point me in the direction of some site which would be I would be grateful. All boxed games come with manuals plus anything else that was in the box (to the best of my knowledge). As for the unboxed games, Marathon and Wolfenstein did not come in a box but rather on a piece of cardboard - the other 3 games came with the Macintosh when we bought it. A further note - all these games were purchased as new and have been sitting unused since about 1995!:

BOXED:

Civilization
Lemmings/Oh No! More Lemmings
Pathways Into Darkness
PGA Tour Golf Tournament Course Disk (Eagle Trace, Scottsdale, Southwind)
Prince of Persia
Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow and the Flame
Sim City 2000 + Strategies and Secrets book

NOT BOXED:

Air Warrior
Marathon
Sim Life
The Tinies
Wolfenstein 3D: Second Encounter

Yes, it would be a shame to throw away the items. Although many of your treasures seem to be up on the Garden already, they still might be a worthy addition, as they are untouched.
I would do the disk images and scan the manuals, but I`m in Germany and shipping costs would spoil the whole procedure. Sure enough a MG member near your place can make disk images and archive your material.

Oh Yes, and don't throw those games, boxes, or other stuff that came with them away. They're quite valuable.

I've received quite a few donations of old software to upload on the Mac Garden. A fair portion of my uploads were obtained that way, and I'm still rapidly working on uploading more of them. I live in the States, you can reach me here: http://sites.google.com/site/oldmacarchive/

Even if the Garden already has the software, I like to take care and add whatever I can in terms of packaging and manual scans, and disk images made from original media. Whoever you send them to, thanks for helping out!

It probably would have been useful if I'd put my location in the original post Smile

I'm in the UK; more specifically East London/Essex.

I imagine it would cost a bit to send everything over to the US so hopefully there's someone a bit closer who could take care of this.

Hi Martz,

I'll happily buy them from you and slowly upload them to the site (although my upload history is not at all impressive).

If you are interested, do let me know.

The total weight of everything (games, manuals, boxes) comes in at around 4670g - this doesn't include the weight of packaging.

If anyone is seriously interested it would be helpful if you could provide some information on best companies for sending items etc. as I don't have any experience of this myself (and certainly not for sending items overseas)

Hi Martz
The packages have arrived and all seems well. I am so happy to have the original media and documentation to Civ I! I still have to pay you. Would you send me an e-mail please?

Hi all,
It is my intention to put the non-EA stuff up onto the site but it won't happen quickly. I intend to start with the Civ I manual. I have to start scanning and read up the guides on making manuals.
If anybody has any preferences, please reply to this thread.
