Sky Shadow on G3 iBook, OS 9.2.2??

Hi all,

I had some success running Sky Shadow on SheepShaver with MacOS 9.04.

The game ran without sound & quite slowly.

I now have a second-hand 600MHz iBook G3 running OS X 10.4/Mac OS 9.2.2.

Has anyone had any success running Sky Shadow on any real G3 running an OS higher than 9.0?

Would it be possible under the Classic Environment otherwise?

Any help appreciated - playing it again under SheepShaver simply whet my appetite Smile

Probably Mini vMac is the best option for Sky Shadow. All the versions I've seen run best under System 6. I can't remember but it might not even have sound compatible with Mac OS 7; it was from that era of gaming.

Edit: Replaced 'xxx 7' with 'Mac OS 7' - IIGS User

Thanks for notifying this game.

The before downloadable file isn't compatible to Mini-vMac because of its compression.
I've replaced it with a Mini-vMac ready disk image (uncompressed one).
To mount it within Mini-vMac just drag it onto the Mini-vMac window.

Believe it or not, I have had this working once (and only once) in colour, without sound, under SheepShaver - I guess I was REALLY lucky - OS 9.04.

Yeah, if you don't mind getting carpal tunnel and putting up with those annoying sounds. Tongue To each his own!
