[Request] French DTP software

I am looking for original disk copies of those well known suspects:
- PageMaker 4.2 French
- QuarkXPress 3.2 or 3.3 French

PageMaker 4.2 US doesn't know about A4 paper (yes, seriously), so French is mandatory here (I am pretty sure it exists).

QuarkXPress 3.32 requires a Motorola 68020 CPU, and QuarkXPress 3.31 crash around the Apple Menu on my target machine (Mac SE / System 7.1), so I am really looking for version 3.3 max (see QXP 3.3 IE here).

Bonus: they both know about WriteNow 3.0 / 4.0 file format Wink

If you can't find the French, the Australian one also handled "real" paper sizes Smile

Have added QXP version 3.11 (French pre-installed copy).

OK, its not 3.3, but it is getting closer and will run on your SE. It may tide you over in the meantime.

Ah thanks. It actually doesn't have the WriteNow 3 plugin (IIRC it appeared in v3.2), and seems to have extra data (plugin, etc).

The WriteNow 3.0 Import plug-in?

Grab it out of the QuarkXPress 3.32 68k, PPC page. 2nd DL from the top, "qxprss-332-us_68k.sit (8.42 MB)".

It should work OK. If you get info on it you'll see QXP 3.1 mentioned, so its compatible with the 3.11 version. It doesn't appear to be language specific in function, just the name is naturalized.

I tested it as working OK in 3.11, but I didn't go as far as loading WriteNow 3 copy into it (don't have any at hand).

You'll likely be able to utilize Quark's Optional Xtensions from that DL also. It includes the useful "Jabberwocky", "Stars&Stripes" and "Bobzilla" plug-ins.

[Edit] Bobzilla doesn't work sadly, the other two do tho', and also "Thing-a-ma-bob" works OK.

Anyway, the request stands. Including a French bottle of wine, some cheese, or a place to stay, far far away from Paris! By the way, I think this man is looking for an Antidote license Wink
