Request: Monsters Inc Mikes Monstrous Adventure

Please see latest post for an update.

Hi all,

Would anyone be willing to help me track down or upload these games:
~ Spy Kids: Mega Mission Zone, 2002 (Disney Interactive) - Hybrid CD
~ Monsters Inc Mikes Monstrous Adventure, 2005 (Disney Interactive) - Hybrid CD
~ MTX Mototrax, 2004 (Aspyr) - Hybrid CD
~ The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, 2005 (Aspyr) - Mac DVD

I have seen some of these on other sites with uploaded ISO but the Mac portion of the CD image always comes up corrupt.

Any help would be appreciated. Cheers

@mrdav Cheers! I've seen your upload, thank you very much. I've been looking for that game on/off for a couple of months now.

@sfp1954 I have been going though eBay, most of the time its the postage from the U.S. that kills it. I'm in Australia, so with conversion, $30+ for a single game makes me wonder if it's really worth it. Obviously I could buy a used copy but still for around $20...

I just realised that I also have a Mac-only disc image of Spy Kids: Mega Mission Zone, so there is no need to buy it unless you want the full hybrid CD (but that would be good to have). If I don't get it uploaded here today, it will have to wait for a couple of weeks as I will be away.

That's great news, whenever you have the time to upload it is fine with me. I don't really need a hybrid image, when searching for it I'd managed to find a PC ISO image, sadly the Mac portion of the image was corrupted, even when burnt to a CD.

Vacation?

And if we put the Mac and the PC partition together by ourself?

For this reason, I ask the seller if she/he would be prepared to send me the disk, inlay covers and booklet in an envelope by ordinary mail in order to save on postage costs. I've never had a damaged disk and sellers are often quite agreeable. I get refusals from 3 categories of people: those on eBay's god-damned Global Shipping Program. There is no chance of cheaper postage with this; the second lot are those who charge shipping fees that are much higher than the postal rates because they want to make an extra 10 dollars as a commission and the third lot who would just rather not do it.

Ask the seller. They may say yes.

Thank you mrdav for uploading both games, I really do appreciated your efforts.

@IIGS_User I don't know if I can post this so please do edit this if not allowed. Here's the link for the PC ISO of Spy Kids: Mega Mission Zone if you want to try merge the two for a hybrid disc image.

@soudesune That is very true, it might be possible if buying locally and the seller is comfortable with it. However as you say anything that goes through the global shipping program is pretty much non-negotiable and that's most of the games and software from the U.S. or UK unfortunately.

->if you want to try merge the two for a hybrid disc image<--

I do not believe that merging two separate images to make a hybrid Mac/PC disc is appropriate. The only reason for wanting a hybrid disc image is to get an exact copy of the physical hybrid CD, that was originally published, for archival purposes. To artificially construct a hybrid that will probably have different files that are common to both partitions from that on the original CD is not in the spirit of archiving. What is appropriate, however, is to make a proper hybrid disc image of an original CD.

Hi everyone,

Just a quick update, I finally managed to buy the Mac version of The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie Video Game. I'll try to have it uploaded here in a couple of days (permitting that my upload speeds will allow me...)
Also I'm still on the hunt for Monsters Inc Mikes Monstrous Adventure, so any help is appreciated.

Thanks all.

Hi all,

I am going to bump my thread from over two years ago, as maybe someone now has a copy somewhere archived or the actual CD. I am still trying to find an PC-Mac hybrid CD image of Monsters Inc Mikes Monstrous Adventure.

I've actively tried locating a copy locally, either through a library, op shops or AU eBay, no success.

I found two CD images posted on the Internet Archive, however both are PC only and are around 180MBs in size. I would assume a hybrid copy would be larger.

From my research it appears (maybe, possibly) there were two or more releases of the game, the earlier/first being a PC-Mac hybrid CD and the later/second re-release being PC only CDs. Hence why I can only find the common PC CD images on the web.

I've noticed some on sale recently on US eBay (no post to Australia) for relatively cheap, but noting what I said above it is tricky to determine in fact if it is a PC-Mac hybrid CD, as some sellers don’t specify these details or have good photos.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/183833602091 (PC-Mac hybrid CD)

If anyone can help out, or upload a copy to the garden I would be very appreciative for your time and effort.

Thanks all.
