This is a longshot in many different directions

For one, i played it on an Acorn Archamedies however i am pretty sure the box art had Acorn, Apple and Windows logos on it so the disk could run the game under three different operating systems.

Crystal Rainforest was an educational game that a lot of kids of my generation played on the School Acorns when it was too wet to go outside during break, a quick google reveals that there is a new version with contemporary graphics and compatibility available to schools now but from what i can see, the two games only share the name
