Open GL in Classic...

On running a Carbon version of Cinebench, I expected Classic to suck compared to native in OS9, but that's not what happened! In OS9 the CPU was about 10% faster, but the OpenGL score was about 25% slower. So provided you don't have CGI/FMV issues running 3D games in classic, they should perform at least as well.

That's because in Classic, the OGL stuff gets passed to the native engine and is run via OS X, not Classic. Under OS 9, everything happens in-line, which slows OpenGL down, but loses the overhead (hence the CPU boost).
