OBSIDIAN, MAX PAYNE and probably others.

There apparently are some games on here which are incomplete - Max Payne and Obsidian are both uploaded, but both incomplete - Obsidian is playable, but stops at various occasions and asks for different CDs to be put in.
May Payne on the other hand is unplayable, and asks for a CD.

So, just to get this straight: if these two apparently are abandonware, then the downloads should be fixed properly. Else, this site could easily become an archive full of half-broken/incomplete programs. If they're not abandonware, then the downloads should be removed completely, IMO, so nobody gets the wrong impression.

This thread might be useful as a listing of such occasions, and used to fix those problems. With Obsidian, somebody should upload all of it, and with Payne, it would be nice to find out if this is abandonware or not. Wink

I don't think Max Payne is incomplete, I think you just have to mount the image in a way that will fool its copy protection. Try this:

Or else burn it to a disc.

From the size, it's the full disk image.

Lock the image and mount with Toast.

In Mac OS X if you mount it with Toast, it will be recognized by Classic as a full CD. That worked for me with Obsidian.

OBSIDIAN asks at various points to "insert CD 2" - so mount or not, it doesn't recognize the uploaded image as another CD.

MP doesn't work, no matter how you try or how you do it. Sad
