No Software in UNNA Newton Archive Can Install

I recently got an Newton MessagePad 2000 and I am trying to find a good source of software for it. So, I downloaded the UNNA archive torrent and loaded everything onto my PowerMac 8500, but nothing seems to install properly. I tried installing through NewtonPress, Newton Package Installer, and other software, but none of them seem to recognize any of the .pkg files as usable. Clicking on them directly has StuffIt (Unsuccessfully) try to parse them as an archive. The odd thing is that installing Newton applications from official floppy disks works just fine - it seems to be the UNNA software that doesn't install. Is there anything I am missing here?

EDIT: I also tried downloading the files directly onto my 8500 from UNNA using Classilla on OS 9.2, but that didn't change the issue.

It sounds like the files are missing their Mac OS type and creator codes, which is common for classic Mac files downloaded from the net without a StuffIt archive or other wrapper protecting their Mac-specific metadata. Here's a drag-and-drop tool that will restore the correct associations to your .pkg files.
