You can buy it from the publisher

http://www.mactech.com/dvd

You can also access the content of vols 1-27 for free

Hello!. Thanks for your quick reply!

I called them a while back and it is no longer for sale, which is why I was asking for an older copy.

It is more of a time saver for me than anything else. I downloaded all the volumes from their site earlier, and I am in the process of getting the images, which all seem to be missing. Internet archive has them, so I will be attempting to script that up and pull them all.

I've written two python scripts that strip the nasty current html from around the original articles and remove all the php. I still need to correct the images. I can archive them and post them if it is of interest.

I was just hoping to be lazy and unzip and click Smile

I've been screwing with https://github.com/jarofghosts/peabody on my raspberry pi. I'm not sure if it needs it on other systems, but I've made some minor changes to get Classilla to work just fine on it. Netscape communicator didn't seem to be too fond of the proxy.

So far, this has proven useful for browsing pages that I want to see from days of old, including the mactech site with working images, etc.

Still would love a copy of the CD though.

I was wanting a copy myself so I decided to ask them too, to see if they had a spare copy sitting about that they would sell me. I got the following reply...

"Thank you for your interest in our MacTech archive DVD. We apologize for the disruption while we're working on our new store. At present we are out of stock on the archive DVD and do not have an ETA for the update. We will contact you when it becomes available."

So they are still selling it but are just out of stock at the moment.

I'm going to assume the DVD, while they claim it is for sale and they just have none and don't know when it will come back into stock, is not really the same thing as the original CDROM, where it had THINK REFERENCE for all the articles.

I'd take a DVD as well, and I'd happily pay for either.
