Macintosh TV (Ebay)

I was scrolling through ebay and found 2 Macintosh TV units for sale. If you have some extra money lying around, take a look at these.

Ah, you must be thinking of extra money lying around, that one would use to light a fire otherwise? Smile
Good to know the TV will only work with a Never The Same Colour signal and nothing that such card could decode is still on air, due to DVBT.
At least this would be true for western Europe, but we had our Pay Additional Luxury signal anyway.

If you live in Greece or Spain these days (or in the other Euro countries) and have the money, it may not be a bad thought at all to buy a collectible. At least you will get a vintage rarity for your money. The same goes for cars, carpets and lots of other stuff.
Some rich people are said to store canned food in their cellars too. I would hate the idea of eating all the "best before" things, but they may have a point actually.

Like above, if you live in southern europe, change your name to "Banco de stupido greedy half-wit tax-avoiding directors" and get a $150bn hand-out from the governments of northern europe, who in turn have taken it from our pension funds. Don't worry the governments don't expect to see a single cent of it ever paid back.
Whatever happened to the common sense that dictated that bad businesses should be left to fail.

Thats what I thought bertyboy - absolutely off topic, ridiculous but true.
The greatest problem to me seems that we were told the Euro was too big to fail, but thats what it does right now. No safe harbour in sight, us regular folks are bound for economic depression and hyper inflation. Not so long ago we had just that in Germany with the well known results. My wife got a legacy of that time, a wooden cigar box filled up with 1000 Reichsmark bills from the days before hyper inflation - a real fortune.
How cute to have a socker EM, nobody is supposed to think about anything else. Smile
panem et circenses, wasnt it?

Both look awesome, but I'm a bit suspicious in the fact that both have been on the market 5 months and both $800. The $800 claims it has tons of apps and games (from Mac Garden, maybe B) ) but the other one claims that you could run GS/OS via the IIe PDS card, which is of course, impossible, unless you somehow managed to fit an Apple IIGS onto the card (similar to the IIGS upgrade kit), but as far as I know--still impossible.
