Looking for an Old Game

My lil sis and I have been looking for a game for years now, we can't remember the name and searching the web has turned up absolutely nothing. We played the game in the late 90's but I'm not sure if that's when the game came out. We played it on a mac desktop computer. The gameplay is an adventure rpg with point and click elements. It has an art style similar to the early King's Quest games where there aren't any textures, just lines and color, maybe shadows here and there (don't really remember). It is first person and you don't ever see your own character (maybe occasionally see your arm or something). It's set in the middle east somewhere and theres a market you can purshase "roasted chickpeas in a cone" or something like that. My memories are patchy, but I seem to remember at one point getting water from a fountain. I remember dying a lot at the hands of a eunuch that is guarding a harem inside some sort of palace. I'm not sure if I'm even remembering a REAL GAME at this point because I can't find traces of it anywhere online. SOMEONE ELSE OUT THERE HAS GOT TO REMEMBER TOO! Please help! Thanks!

That must be Palace of Sand, also known as Sultan's Palace, by Louise Hope.

There are downloadable Mac versions on this page, or you can play it directly in your browser here.
