Listing of APPS by Catagory

Listing apps alphabetically is very efficient albeit i have forgotten the names of the applications used in my OS 8 and 9 days.

In addition to the alphabetical listing i would like to see listing by category, for example, Music, Utilities, Graphics etc.

I think the search box can be used to do that, but you would first need to know what the appropriate category keyword is.

Actually the apps ARE listed by category on the MG Home page. Just scroll down a bit and you will see them.

@mactheappleguy: This category listing does exist, tho' it may not be as obvious as you might wish, especially if you have the tracker page bookmarked and that's the first port of call when you visit the MG.

For the category list, go to the MG home page (click the pic with "Macintosh Garden" in bold white lettering near the top of any page). Look to the right side of the home page and scroll down a little if you need to. Under "Categories" you'll see Games categories listed 1st and under those, Applications categories, such as; "Music & Sound", "Utilities", "Visual Arts & Graphics", etc.

My wish list for the category section is, once you go to one of the listed categories, they be shown listed in alphabetical order from 1st page to last (not loosely listed alphabetically page by page).

Thank you guys for dealing with my very stupid question. Next time Mr Magoo must put on his reading glasses and study the web site closely. I honestly appreciate your very kind responses.

YW and its not a silly question, as the listed categories are not in an obvious location especially if you didn't know where it is. That is, at present every page you visit have clearly defined links to apps & games listings, but for categories there is only one set of links on one page, the home page.
