This Balderdoush link doesn't work: http://macintoshgarden.org/games/balderdoush-104
Also, Apieron is broken here: http://macintoshgarden.org/games/apeiron
As is Same Game: http://macintoshgarden.org/games/same-game
The balderdoush file can be downloaded in edit mode. The other two games have alternate links listed either in the description or comments
^ I tried it in edit mode. It downloaded okay, but the program glitches out so badly that I have to force-quit Basilisk. Any idea what might be causing that?
@TenPoundHammer Is the glitch in question the one where you can hear the sounds, but the screen is frozen? if so , I think the deal with that is balderdoush won't work on any emulator except for classic environment. and It won't work for classic environment for tiger.
Well, I can see lots of my once uploaded Games at MU are still missing. I have them all on back up hard disk and I have two days of holidays ahead, so I could upload a few. What is the preferred hoster this day ? (+ I need one compatible with Classilla since I'm on 9.2.2)
Thank you, Bolkonskij. That would be great. However, I have no idea what a suitable hoster compatible with Classilla would be.
I just uploaded three disc in .sit to sendspace ~ 1.3 GB. Guess what, after it went up to 100% within 4 hours it told me about an error. I check my account and *nothing* has been uploaded. :-/
Any alternative to sendspace, rapidshare and mediafire?
> Any alternative to sendspace, rapidshare and mediafire?
Maybe uploaded.net or depositfiles.com ?
freakshare seems to gain popularity but I have no personal experience. Except from DL:ing… 8)
Thanks, uploaded.net seems to work fine. I've started uploading these two again, more to follow this weekend:
http://macintoshgarden.org/games/panzer-general
http://macintoshgarden.org/games/europa-universalis-ii
Edit: And another one. Though I did not have the time to unpack it and check its content. I just know for sure that I downloaded it from via MacGarden. Could someone download, check the content and then add it to the entry?
And another batch got reuploaded. Make sure to get
Railraod Tycoon Gold 2
Hearts of Iron
Icewind Dale: (both discs)
Also added the PPC version of ICQ 3.4
Thank you, Bolkonskij. You are making a big impact with this.
@Bolkonskij
The Myth III file looks fine. I will put it up. Do you happen to have the Extras that was the other MU link on the page?
iGadu and ICQ updated
@mrdav - It's nice to see that my efforts are recognized. Thank you for your kind words. I also appreciate your organizational work in this thread which has motivated me to check for back ups on my hard disk and re-upload them.
I'll check for the extras later on.
As for now, I've re-uploaded Knights & Merchants. Grab it
I have a question!
Or perhaps, I have loads of questions:
First off, some pages include a seemingly non-existent link, like, for example, The Dig: http://macintoshgarden.org/games/the-dig
Specifically, they have a 'download link' looking like this:
http://i.imgur.com/WBVQM.png
Completely linkless.
Do these count as broken links? Or is there a clicky hotspot or procedure that I'm missing?
And on that note, what's the usual deal with archived files? Are they similar in this respect, or are they scheduled for reuploading in the future, or will they be made available again when someone asks for them?
Slightly more on-topic, could I also draw attention to the adventure game Timelapse, of which three links are broken? I'm quite looking forward to giving that one a try myself, if possible, having only ever briefly watched my father play one or two snippets of it in the past. Or at least that's the extent of my memory.
If anyone has the relevant files, I'd be quite grateful for their re-linking.
Kid Pix Studio - done
Hmm, maybe you are thinking of another Kid Pix page? The one in my list is at http://macintoshgarden.org/games/kid-pix-studio-1995 which still has a link to MegaUpload
Sorry, was add german version of Kid Pix Studio DeLuxe: http://macintoshgarden.org/games/kid-pix-studio-deluxe
Sorry
RagTime 5.6 (Private and Solo both) - done
Thank you
***** UPDATE to the Update******
It worked! Thanks a bunch!
*****UPDATE 1 Feb*****
Well, I went back to the page, found two download links. The first is downloading something, I'll test it out to make sure it works.
=========================================================
Hi,
I went to download "Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force" and got "Seite nicht gefunden," which in my high school German translates as "site not found," or more properly, file not found.
I didn't see it on any of the lists of missing files. Was I missing anything? BTW, the EF Expansion Pack is still up and available.
Thanks!
Windows Cyrilic Fonts 1.15
Pagemaker 6.5 (german version only)
Hi guys (and gals),
I've been off the list for a long time and I may be able to help. I have about 130GB of Mac software including many on the list above. I don't really have the time to upload but I will send someone what I have if they are prepared to do so.
If so, send me your address and I'll see what the best way to get it out to you is.
Regards,
soudesune
I think max1zzz would be best to host your archive. He's already doing a great job so far and is upgrading all the time.
If you want to send them to me i will be happy to upload them in time, there may be a few months of lead time, as i still have stuff mk558 sent me to ul.
However if anyone wants to send me software, they pay the shipping (i am very short on money)
Any chance of stuff getting reuploaded to mega.co.nz?
Cinemania 96 is uploaded now! Somebody download it and upload to the MacGarden. I can't, my bandwidth is so horrible.
I think we need to get everything away from mediafire, seems almost every link in the os section is mediafire, and none of them seem to work.
I have found 4shared to be pretty good, and depositefiles seems ok aswell. best bet is to upload to multiple hosts
EDIT: I have reuploaded the photoshop 3 deluxe cd links (mirrored to 3 places)
Thanks
Re uploaded code warrior 10 gold aswell (mirrored to 3 places)
SafeCracker
Added new DL links and some game info.
many thanks
Uploaded these programs in the last 24 hours and the links are broken:
http://macintoshgarden.org/games/1990-ford-simulator-ii
http://macintoshgarden.org/apps/buick-dimension-1988
http://macintoshgarden.org/games/buick-dimensions-1989
http://macintoshgarden.org/games/buick-dimensions-1990
http://macintoshgarden.org/games/the-dungeon-revealed (second link; 3.12 MB)
@GroupB Don't worry, admins should fix these with a couple of weeks. This is normal with new uploads.
fixed Norton Utilities 6 links, again using multiple hosts for security
Benjamin Blumchen. Das Wetter
Avid VideoShop 3.0.2 updated with new dl link.
TV Jab
Panzer General's download ok but image is broken.
For whatever reason (archived, Megaupload, just plain missing links), these are inaccessible to the general public:
Police Quest: Open Season
Prisoner of Ice
Quake
Quake II
Ray Bradbury's The Martian Chronicles Adventure Game
Robot City
Shogo: Mobile Armor Division
Shattered Steel
SiN Gold
Skullcracker
Souls in the System is there, but missing soundtrack (audio CD format)
Spaceship Warlock
Spider-Man
Star Control 3
Star Mission
Star Wars: Rebel Assault
Star Wars: TIE Fighter
The Dig
Tomb Raider I,II,III
When uploading these games, make sure you have all the audio tracks: try to play the game off the image you made, and see if there's music.

Meanwhile, a bin/cue pair of files is fine for Mac emulators as well.
Balderdoush
There are two entries of this game available, one is marked as 68k, the other is marked as PowerPC, (later means it runs within SheepShaver only) :
MacintoshGarden/Balderdoush
MacintoshGarden/Balderdoush 1.04
Is it true that there are two different binaries available?
The Balderdoush download still doesn't work. The sit opens fine, but the program won't run in Basilisk.
Oh, maybe that's why the one doesn't work. I didn't see the "PPC" tag on it.
The 68K one is a graphics swap, and the PPC one has the graphics I remember from that game as a child.
Could be a mis-information as well, which could be checked with NativeChecker, which tells the architecture used inside the application.
The PPC one is the one that isn't working for me.
They are both 68k applications.
http://macintoshgarden.org/games/balderdoush is version 1.04i
and
http://macintoshgarden.org/games/balderdoush-104 is version 1.04
but as you discovrered the uploaded balderdoush-104 seems corrupted and gives an error on loading. There is a good working version on disk 1 of http://macintoshgarden.org/apps/another-ian-stuarts-australasian-mac-cd
However, version 1.04i is later than version 1.04 so, rather than replacing the D/L, I think we should just delete page http://macintoshgarden.org/games/balderdoush-104
and retain page http://macintoshgarden.org/games/balderdoush
EDIT: And maybe put a good copy of v1.04 to go with the existing v1.04i on the page we keep
That's true, PowerPC based applications doesn't run in Basilisk, due to architecture.
Otherwise, later 68k based games should run fine (even slower than on 68k machines) within SheepShaver,
since the PPC processor interpretes the 68k code.
