Large File Submissions

On the issue of large file submissions failing
While the server itself is very generous on timeouts and waiting for clients to finish their business, there are variables that neither side can account for and may cause interruptions / failed uploads.

It is possible to further tweak and optimize settings/code, though it will not satisfy every client and connection.

To work around this, alternate solutions are being tested and most are available right now.

Preparing the submission
Begin by creating the page, fill in the fields to the best of your abilities, add screenshots if they are available, in the Description field, make a final note that the file(s) are currently stored on the storage gateway. It would also be nice to have the filenames listed as well.

Finish by scrolling to the bottom of the page and click Save.
The files will eventually be attached to the correct page.

How old of hotline clients would be able to connect to the hotline servers? I remember using these way back in my PPC days, but I'm pretty sure 68k clients existed, too!

The potential is amazing and this news is very exciting, especially for virtual 68k Macs like mine Smile

I believe v1.2.3 has been tested and also works up to the latest released one.

This is awesome! I had no idea I could FTP the files up. I will definitely be contributing a bunch this way.

Thank you for the contributions so far, and please do let me know if you run in to any issues at all.

The server which these particular services run on may need a reboot since they haven't been touched in a while (not hooked up to the monitoring system yet). And if the basic accounts won't allow certain things, I'll be happy to create one for you with additional permissions.

This will be a great way for me to add things too! I've got Hotline clients on all my Macs, both old and new, and in a number of my emulators as well.
