Just a Little Rant

I notice that some of the stuff being uploaded to the site has been added into sections that it doesn't belong in.....examples:

Now Utilities, Web Publisher, Up-To-Date & Contact <-------- Not an OS

Print2Pict 3.7.1 <----- not an OS

Mister Bean Icons <----- not an OS...not sure where it belongs

Printer Defaults 1.5.2 <----- why is this in visual arts and graphics?

these are how ever linked to the proper place they belong in. just try and remember what the app that your uploading is and which category it belongs in.

Try finding me the ICON category -- I try to give me uploads a category, but printing software comes under graphics in my book (unless I missed a PRINTING category, of course). I did my best with what I had... It is a WIKI, so you can go and turn them all off if you so wish.

Thanks Ken, I reckon they need at least 6 new categories on that list, and that is just scratching the surface... the download system needs to be fixed too... sigh.

Although it could be 15 years out of date, perhaps a look at the top level directory structure of one of the large shareware / BMUG cd-roms would give us some definitive answers.

15 years out of date because HyperCard stacks were a big thing back then (quite rightly so), so we'd have to use judgement as to what is still valid as to deserving it's own category. I think even 3rd party After Dark modules had its own category then too.

I uploaded "The Grouch" and I didn't know where it goes so it went in Screensaver. This site really does need Fun stuff or something like that.
