Did the upload complete? Is the game over 40 MB?

The file can be DL with the edit trick, as usual.
Problem seem to be the lost/weird resource forks. Better re-upload and use the recommended .sit flavour for compression and storage.

Nothing wrong with how you uploaded. Fresh uploads to here are never immediately available for DL. The activation for the page link can take a while as it has to be done manually by an administrator (up to a couple of weeks some times). Use the Search function above and look for "Edit Trick" for other ideas.

However, the .zip file you upped was created in Mac OS X and it is unusable as is on other OS's, including a native classic Mac OS 9.x or earlier. - Mac OS X has its own way of doing things and its form of .zip is one of them.

If using Mac OS X to archive files for earlier Mac OS's, try as 24bit suggests and use some kind of Stuffit. Making sure when using Stuffit, to create ".sit" archives, not ".sitx" and have Stuffit's Preferences set to "not storing hidden System files" and set to the faster, not better compression style.

I am well aware that mac os 9 can't do .zip files, but I can't find any free software with which to compress the folder as a .sit .sea or .bin file. Surely one can just download it, unzip and then copy the files over to an old mac on a USB. When the download starts working, that is.

Is your mac intel? If not, you could use classic mode, and download an OS9 compatible Stuffit from the Apps section.

My mac I am using is intel. But I do have an I mac G3 running mac os 9.1 Which does have stuffit on it, but I have not found any option to stuff things.

@Alexei: It is most probable that you have "Stuffit Expander" on the iMac G3, this program will extract from archives only, not "stuff".

You need to install either Stuffit Deluxe or Aladdin DropStuff to Stuff files into a ".sit" archive. DropStuff is the easiest to use, you only need to drop a folder of files onto its icon to Stuff to an archive, DropStuff 5.5 is in the 6th Download from the top of that page link, a (2.59 MB) DL. This version is ideal for stuffing to ".sit" for this website.

@Alexei: you might want to check your OS 9.1 iMac first for "Aladdin DropStuff" - DropStuff 5.5 was installed by default with the OS 9.1 installers. It might already be there for you.

Ah, the iMac G3. My favorite mac of all time. My most useful mac, as well.
