i want to play a pinball game on my system 8.6...
but its a .toast file...
i did some research and found out that its something ike an .iso...
but how do i open it???
and where do i find a software that can mount this image on my system 8.6???
help plz! 
What's wrong with using a version of the application that created it ?
Either Toast 5 Titanium, or Toast 4 Deluxe ???
As bertyboy says or rename .toast to .ati and use Virtual DVD-ROM/CD Utility to mount the image. More hustle than using Toast but it´s an alternative. 
um... ya... but i dont have any of those apps...
i have a system 8.6... an actual old macintosh PPC
i need help finding an app that opens it... i tried zip and stuff it... and the image mounter that mounts .img
none of them work...
so is Toast 5 titanium OSX only? or can i also in stall it on my system 8.6? same for the second one you mentioned...
as bertyboy says; Toast 4 and 5 up to 5.0.1 and the Virtual DVD-ROM/CD Utility will run under OS 8.6

BTW, you don't have to change the extension to .ati, you can leave it alone and it will work just fine. I've used this program on something as early as a PowerBook 500 running Mac OS 7.1.1, and as late as my G3 iMac running OS 9.2.2, without any problems. Occasionally it will refuse to mount an image due to a memory restriction, but that may just mean that its own memory settings need to be changed.
