Help with vMAC

Hi,

I have been able to use premade disk partitions, and virtual hard drives via instrctions on the vMAC website. They show up fine with the correct capacity on finder 6 w/ vMAC no problem. However, I cannot get any files dragged on to them. I could use some help.

For example, if I want to play an old game (Wizardry, Sierra boxing) that is already in a full disk format, no problem. If the game is just an application (Dungeon of Doom, MacLanding), no luck.

Any help most appreciated, thanks!

How about using this application to drag over the archive of those files:

http://minivmac.sourceforge.net/extras/importfl.html

And then expanding the archive in the emulated environment?

For the record, what is your host system?

Thanks,
That did bring the files over, but when I double click an application, I get the "application is busy or missing" dialog box. Any other suggestions?

evbroach,

In order to expand the file you need to have stuffit expander installed in your emulated system.

Here's a link to a usable version: http://www.emaculation.com/minivmac/stuffit_expander_40.bin

Of course that file itself is compressed, so you can use this tool to drag it over to the emulated system:

http://minivmac.sourceforge.net/extras/binunpk.html

Here's the rub:

Some of the files on Macintosh Garden require Stuffit 5 to be exapanded. But Stuffit five doesn't run in the Mac Plus that Mini vMac emulates.
