Greets and share a game

Hi guys, I'm Vitali80 from Italy. I'm a retrogamer and an abandonware, freeware, open source and indie supporter. I would ask you if I can share games with your staff but I have some problems:

- the game is an adult game
- it is not tested because I can't emulate a Mac right now and I don't have a Mac, so I'm forced to ask you if you can test it (sorry)

I would share this game with you because I think is a rare game saved years ago from a closed forum.

The game's name is "Scop", here is the link: https://mega.nz/#F!PSpBgKQQ!Qez_iFHuyIo27Ase5Vc16A

I hope I didn't do anything wrong.

Anything wrong? Not at all! Thanks for sharing this with us. I don't think an adult game is an issue: this site stores Mac apps, and games certainly are appreciated. Any move to save history is a good move!

I'm willing to try it out, if it's compatible with Mac OS 9.2.2.

The problem is, I just tried opening your link, but it doesn't work. It says "Folder link unavailable", saying it was either removed, disabled by the user/uploader or that the link is wrong.

Is it a Japanese adult game, by any chance? I once saw a magazine full of Japanese titles of the sort, and noticed none of them were hosted here yet, so I wonder if that title is one of them, or simply something else entirely.

Yeah, the link looks disabled. When it was available, I've seen pictures with it. I can confirm that it's a Japanese adult game... Smile

Sadly, I guess this game is lost for now. Sad

I hope another link will be created soon. If not, I'll regret to not have DL it...

If it is ad*lt, the hoster probably has removed it.

Yep. It's a pity in this case, IIGS_User... Sad

For some years now, I have thought it'd be great to see more Japanese Mac OS software, gaming & otherwise. There are some big time real/classic Mac fans out there that are Japanese, and years back I came across some Japanese blogs/libraries of programs, but back then I was completely out-of-touch with Macs since childhood and didn't even consider writing the sites' URLs down. Argh.

This thread might be a good opportunity to ask: if anyone knows of Japanese websites that deal with Japanese classic Mac OS software, or perhaps even PowerPC OS X software, I'd love to know. Then it'd be my pleasure to mirror them to the Garden for everyone else.

I caught it before it fell off. Will upload properly when i get a chance.

Anything running system 9 is going to run the 'game' part of this too fast i think. Its a visual novel type thing (i think, its hard to tell what the hecks going on what with it being in Japanese) and has an in-game clock which seems to be turbocharged on my G3

Thanks. But this one has been uploaded here from another source. Can you confirm it is the same that you have ?

Yes, I confirm. Sorry for this repost guys Sad

Anyway, I know http://www.legendsworld.net/ got some Mac games from a user called bakuDD, which upload those CD Mac games here: https://mega.nz/#F!y3xREIQJ!yt3XqFtRnOoRp5pFRu6j4A
and here: https://mega.nz/#F!t1dkSKwD!seEdpDWtMCEkC71yPJ89Pg
I helped them too.

That's my help for Mac users Wink I hope this can be good for retrogaming preservation.

I love retrogaming despite it is for Mac, Windows or Linux <3
