@Balrog
I was responding to the person who said that they're making
an OS X version of "Rise Of The Triad".

I wrote that from my Kindle 2 so maybe it formatted wrong.
I apologize for the mixup.

Lunicus and Jump Raven, if anybody can figure out how to get them to work without too much trouble.

I have Lunicus, CD sized, and probably the worst game I ever bought, and I bought some real stinkers.

I myself, am most interested in B&W versions of things. Plus the added GUI in most of these versions is really superior to their pc counterparts. I like the oldies and Mac-only games as well. Use to have a mac plus myself when I was a kid (which was only 20 some years ago, so don't think I'm a foagi Tongue)

Would it be at all possible to upload kid pix?

Anybody got Spaceship Warlock? I remember hearing so much about it but never got to play it.

definitely have Spaceship Warlock in the past, and I've never chucked any Mac software (not even Tomb Raider III - never got around to installing), but I don't havd it imaged anywhere. I may have (stupidly) given it away with one of my old Macs, but I would have burned a copy first.

I'll find it one day in the next month or so, I have about 600-700 cd's left to search through (and image and scan into a library). Each day I process 20 or so and find another spindle of 25 to do.

I would really love to play X-Wing and/or Tie-Fighter again. Though nowaday I'll probably be a bit disappointed about the graphics, but back in the days I loved it and would spend hours in a galaxy far far away Smile

(Also Masters of Orion 2 would be awesome to have on here)

@Anonymous - I still have kid pix CD and even remember where I put it. It came with our iMac G3 back then, never tried it out though. I'll check for how big it is and then maybe upload my first app Smile

Hey all,

Has anyone got Homer 4.0 it wasn't really a game but it was homers head from the Simpsons and he used to say things and when you ran the cursor past him he would eat it and then spit it out. Would be cool to see it again.

I know this is a response to an old post, but I also recall this application. I think it was officially called Homer 2.1 Pro. The only place I've been able to find it (for a fee) is at:

http://www.zooass.com/toyserver/petsmac.shtml

I recall this would always circulate on floppy disks around workplaces. My aunt gave me a copy and I stupidly lost the disk. Years later I heard a rumor that Fox Network ordered it to be erased from all servers (like Info-Mac) because of intellectual property issues.

Super Wing Commander. I had the PC versions years ago, but apparently when it finally came to mac it was upgraded a bit and on CD. Included the first two games and expansions, I think.

Thanks Attila, but that's not a Macintosh game.
It's an APPLE ][ game.
It's running in my APPLE ][ emulator as I type this.
It should be removed.

I downloaded and checked it, it is the Macintosh version, for sure.

@MacWise
Can you give me a link where I can see this for myself?

@IIGS User
All the software for my APPLE ][ emulator has a .DSK extension PLUS a special graphic that accompanies it.
The "Carrier Command" download has both, too, so I assumed it was the APPLE ][ version.
I DID put the CC download in my APPLE ][ emulator but I wrote what I wrote BEFORE I hit the RUN key. lol
Needless to say it didn't run -- a box popped up that said BLAHBLAHBLAH DOES NOT RECOGNIZE THIS FORMAT ETC., ETC.
I apologize for the error.

How do I get the CC .DSK file to run on my boxmac?
Is it simply a matter of just putting it on a floppydisk & running as usual?

If you also have installed Apple ][ emulators, like me, the disk image of Carrier Command will be displayed as Apple ][ disk image because of its extension .dsk, but it isn't.

I just added the Carrier Command disk image to the Basilisk drives list as usual and it worked so far, bit if it doesn't work, you could try to rename the extension from .dsk to .img.

I would like to see some more graphics applications. I'm a designer and would love to recreate a year 1998 working environment in Mac OS 9 (or somewhere around that time, anyway). Does anybody have Bryce 3D?

I Uploaded Bryce 2 (a few days ago) and Bryce 1 (yesterday),
I also have like 3 different versions of AutoCad, (which I haven't uploaded yet) among others

I was able to get Rebel Assault off of E-bay very easily, but I can't find the sequel anywhere. Naturally it might be a bit big for this site but if anyone knows of another way of getting it, that'd be awesome.

I also have a copy of the (TERRIBLE) murder mystery game, "Foul Play".

I have Warcraft II on CD but I can't figure out how to get it running in Sheepshaver. There's no way to get the CD to be recognised in OS9, patch or no patch. I'm a bit confused... so maybe if someone were to share Warcraft II OR perhaps a reliable way to make it run, that'd be neat!

I forgot to ask; does anyone actually want Foul Play? It IS terrible.

Sounds like you are trying to make it run with a mounted disk image. Or are you using a real CD? Just wandering.

With my Warcraft 2, I'm using a real CD, not an image. Although I just made an .img of it and that didn't work either.

That's too bad. I remember a time when Blizzard promised to port their old games to Mac OS X, but it seems they stopped after StarCraft. Have you tried running it within Basilisk II? Warcraft II is a Mac OS 7 game afterall.

Yeah, bit of a bummer with Warcraft II. I searched pretty extensively for a no CD patch but naturally, all of the links were old and broken.

Basillisk didn't work any better than Sheepshaver. (sighs) ah well. Warcraft I works pretty well though!

Mixed up mother goose. This was a top-down adventure, you had to find fairy tale characters and help them out. I remember playing the game yeeears back and recalling it always crashing at a certain point. I have the demo if anyone would like to take a look?

On my hard disk I've stored CD images of Allied General, Apache, Bad Mojo (hybrid), Comanche, Falcon 4.0, Shanghai Second Dynasty (hybrid).

Comanche must be first version, there are others as well I don't own, Comanche 2 or Werewolf vs Comanche 2, both must exist for Mac, if ebay is true.

A word about Comanche: On my hard disk is stored the german version, which is pretty useless for this site, I believe. It is probably possible to patch it using ResEdit to translate it into english.

But I would vote for anyone who owns the english original CD.

Well but better the german Comanche than no Comanche? I think it can still be replaced once an english version gets uploaded. Besides, lots of german speaking ppl here as well. Und auf Falcon 4.0 bin ich sehr gespannt , danke! Smile)

Warcraft II:

Does a locked Toast image work ? Mount it with Toast. If it's a Mac OS 7 game, this worked for nearly all cd games from the time.

Ah! I just tried that and still no joy. I thought we were onto a winner there too Sad

Would it be better if I start a new thread for this?

If you set up to copy the disc in Toast, how does it identify the it ? Just the usual "HFS CD-ROM" ? or is it a Hybrid, with ISO ?

From notes I have from the time, Warcraft 2: Tides of Darkness was on a hybrid CD, a data track and all the music tracks as an audio cd. Is this what might be throwing it ?

I definitely think it's a factor. Mounting something like the Fate of Atlantis CD presents no problem at all.

Anyway, I'll start up a new thread and let this one get back on topic. Thanks for the help so far folks!

I'd like to see "Name That Game." It was a puzzle game where you'd do puzzles to align lettered tiles into the name of a popular game at the time. I remember Apeiron and Pacman being some of the puzzles.

Diamonds 2.0
MacPipes (even though it's available on other websites, it would be cool to list it here)
Short Circuit (Also available on other website but it would be cool to be list it here)

There is a breakout game I remember I played a LOOOOT as a child... I THINK it's Diamonds 2.0 though I really not sure. The balls in the game were yellow and red and if I remember correctly, when game over, an astronaut in a space suit appeared on the screen. If you know what I am talking about....
