Oooooooh, he was trying to open the ROM?
Wow! So wait.. was I right in assuming that simply opening the BasilliskII.exe would have launched the emulator successfully? I think so
I'm telling you, folks get more traction from how-to videos in this day and age, even for the easy stuff, lol! I am very much guilty of that myself; you should have seen all the shenanigans I was pulling trying to get QEMU to run on my Windows! Made all of this look like a walk in the park..
And in all this, I have to admit that the ROM thing is one of the trickier aspects of the setup. This is where SheepShaver really shines (and QEMU too, I think) since it doesn't require setting-up any ROMs as part of its assembly. But the other part of setting up QEMU, oh boy!
The best part of using Basilisk II, for me personally, is that shared UNIX drive, even if I can't rename its UNIX title or change its icon, lol. And having that Android port is heaven, allowing me to fire it up on practically any device. Next, I'm next expecting it to show up in a Roku or Fire TV.. now wouldn't that be something, lol! But I guess it already can run on an Android TV box; oh great, yet another gadget to get!
