App upload is failing

I'm trying to upload an app but I've encountered an error:
An HTTP Error 0 occurred.
/filefield/ahah/app/field_file/0/x-progress-id% (followed by a long hex number)

Please explain.

It's a strange bug that comes and goes that's still being looked into. It would appear that instead of clicking "Upload", scrolling all the way down and clicking "Save" works much better.

Let me know how it works out for you.

Your "Save" approach worked fine - albeit not intuitive.

It's an issue that has been haunting several versions of Drupal with various solutions, neither that has worked here, so far. Still, it's being looked at.

Glad it worked out for you.

Changing passwords still doesn't work either. ALWAYS have to do the "Lost Password" dialog to login.

I've changed password a couple of times, no issues on my end when attempting to log in with a current password.

Mail me with details on the process, if you please? Using the contact form works fine.

Back to the failed uploads: Many of us already did encounter this voodoo.
Upload stalls at 99%, and thats it. Save does not work either on my side.
I wonder where the files go?
Just recently "Xcode 1.5" - is it in the guts of the servers or in digital nirvana? Smile

I might have to issue a reboot sometime today then and some maintenance for the weekend Tongue
I'm 100% sure the uploads actually don't fail, but are store for a little while before drupal cleans them out from the "failed uploads".

In other words, Xcode 1.5 is in limbo before passing on :/

Windows and Firefox did the job meanwhile.
Could it be a OSX/Safari related misbehaving? I seem to recall such from an earlier thread.

Well, I have to say that I have already encountered this error with Firefox on Mac OS X...

There does seem to be some JavaScript involved, however there are quite a few versions of varying browsers and platforms :/

Here's to some weekend downtime then Wink

A few days back I uploaded about 10 CD sized images and was hitting a failure rate of 50 - 60% with uploads getting so far then stalling, and with the progress bar info status generating a "Starting upload..." message which it never recovers from.

It only seems to affect uploads of a larger size. Smaller files always seem to get through OK.

Good luck with any progress, fW.

I now use Chrome for uploads as it always works for me, unlike Firefox in my case
