After Dark on MacOS 9.2.2

Hi all,

I'm trying to run After Dark. I follow the online guides, and it works, half assed. When I say this, some screen savers work fine. Others have a corrupt image in the list for picking them, and if I pick them, I hard crash the laptop.

Thoughts other than "Don't use them!" Smile

Thanks!

Which set are those modules from? IIRC, the "After Dark 3.0" collection was the only set that flat out wouldn't work with OS 9, even if I decompressed the resources.

Downloaded a different file set and it seems to be working as far as I can tell. Not sure what happened with the set from my CD.

There is a discussion in a 'afterdark for OS9 patch' page here that hints that the crashing might be due to compressed resources in the file, which afterdark decompresses on the fly. These aren't compatible with 9.1 and above.

This might be the reason, but i'm no expert on the matter
