For Mac OS X

Yosemite Classic for Mac OS X is a set of unified replacement icons for Mac OS Classic emulators and Mac OS X virtual machines, paying homage to the Classic Environment found in early iterations of Mac OS X.

The icon concept is inspired by the Classic Environment itself ending with Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger, and the icon design inspired by the user interface redesign starting with Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite. As with Startup, each Mac OS version number has been carefully colored according to official promotional materials for each separate version of Mac OS using the Pantone Matching System.

Yosemite Classic 1.2 is an icon file, and is compatible with Mac OS X 10.0 Cheetah or newer. Yosemite Classic is open-source, and is published under a 'Creative Commons Attribution Non-Commercial License'.

Architecture: PPC (Carbonized) x86 (Intel:Mac)

Version History:
Version 1.2:
- Added icon for Mac OS X.
- Gradient of the Mac OS 8 icon intensified due to visual discrepancy.

Version 1.1:
- Added icons for Mac OS 8, Mac OS 7, and Mac OS 6.

Version 1.0:
- Initial release.

You know, it such little things that help keep our aging OSes feeling a bit kept up with the times; not that Classic can compete with smartphones these days, let alone computers! It's simply about the fun to merge new things with old! Thanks for the share, AtariKee Smile

Damn that's a sweet scheme! Cracked it open with ResEdit, and it still requires some much needed polish though. Quite a lot of resources still not edited, but the resources that are done are absolutely FLAWLESS! cbone and I were contemplating taking a stab at a Yosemite scheme when time allows, but seems we were beaten to the finish line by YEARS Laughing out loud

Yosemite scheme for Kaleidoscope is available here:

I'd add a page for it if I had time today, but I don't. Feel free to add a page if one hasn't been added already. Credit for the scheme goes to Ed Cormany of Simple Beep Podcast, as he's the one that created it and supplied it to me a few years ago. Info here:

Glad you like them, cbone Smile They've been collecting dust on my HD since 2014, so thought someone else here at the Garden might be able to put them to good use.

Dude! That's an awesome theme! Your doing? Kaleidoscope?

Got TOTALLY confused there for a second at the first glance of the screenshot. My brain went like:

Waaaait, Ubuntu customization...
No, no: ShapeShifter OS X theme...
Can it be OS 9...
It can't be OS 9...
it *IS* OS 9!!!

Hehe Laughing out loud

Would LOVE to take it for a spin! Any chance you could spare a copy?

Great Yosemite icon pack, Bry!

I don't believe there's an official release, but here's a screenshot of my 68k Yosemite Desktop
