Emulation
This app works with: SheepShaver, Basilisk II, Mini vMac

This is an INIT/control panel extension that will add a windows menu to the finder and other applications.

Windows "knows" some applications that do not need a 'Windows' menu, either because they support only one window at a time (HyperCard), or because they have a built-in 'Windows' menu (like MPW). Windows also "knows" some applications that need help (Finder, ResEdit). If the current application is not known to Windows, it will search the menu bar for a menu named Window(s ) or the like. If no menu is found, a menu is added unless you disabled Windows in the control panel.

Installation: Drag the file into the system folder and reboot (it won't work before reboot because it wants to patch some toolbox traps before Multifinder gets loaded). Options may be set using the control panel.

- Taken from the Readme file included (see Manual Download for complete file)

Note: Not to be confused with Windows 3.1 — A joke app with a similar name, by Bob Spence.

For similar software, see: Finder Windows Pro.

Compatibility
Architecture: 68k

In Mac OS 6, simply drag onto System Folder and re-start your Mac.
In Mac OS 7.0 and above, drag it onto the System Folder to get it placed in Control Panels subfolder automatically and re-start your Mac.

Runs with System 6.0 in Mini vMac, Mac OS 7.5 in Basilisk and Mac OS 9.0.4 in SheepShaver, so very likely with all Mac OS System versions between.

I've reverted the page removing the two fresh uploads. A note about those uploads. Despite the 3.0 and 3.1 numbers in their archived names, they were both the same file. One had modification dates of 2004 and a few bytes difference in file size, but both are version 3.0 of the "Windows 3.1" spoof app by Bob Spence. Nether app was different from the archive already listed on the other page.

I have looked inside all the archives here. IIGS_User are in the truth for the versions added. The two "Windows_3.x" are not at all the same softwares, the authors either... Besides that, they are similars (3.0 & 3.1) & also, there is already a page for this software (link aforementioned by IIGS_User). Well...

OlaHugson, sorry, but you are wrong. What you've uploaded, is very different and already available here:
