Guides on emulating older applications

Winclone allows you to clone your Boot Camp partition as a image file saved either on a separate drive or on your Mac OS X partition. The software can also create a Windows partition and restore it from the Winclone image file. Winclone 2.2 will clone Windows XP and Vista. I have also used it to successfully clone Windows 7 running Winclone 2.2 in Mac OS X 10.6.8. The software requires NTFSProgs 2.0.0, an open source suite of NTFS utilities, for it to function.

Download #1 contains Winclone 2.2. This version is free (donationware). A version suitable for modern systems can be purchased from the publisher.

Download #2 contains binaries of NTFSProgs 2.0.0 precompiled for Mac OS X 10.5 and 10.6, as well as the full source code and instructions on how to compile your own binaries if you prefer. To install, simply copy the NTFSProgs folder to /Library on your Mac.

Architecture: x86 (Intel:Mac)
