For Mac OS X
Guides on emulating older applications

Weppy is a browser plugin set for Mac OS X Web browsers that allows them to display inline images that are in the WebP file format, a new image format from Google. WebP is similar to the well-known JPEG file format, except that WebP images are smaller than JPEG images, and in some cases have better quality.

Architecture: PPC x86 (Intel:Mac)

Weppy is compatible with all Mac OS X Web browsers that do not use QuickDraw for drawing images. This includes Safari, Firefox, Chrome, OmniWeb, Opera, Camino, and probably others as well. It comes with separate plugins for WebKit-based browsers (such as Safari and OmniWeb) and browsers that only support Netscape plugins (such as Firefox, Chrome, and Camino). Both support hardware-accelerated image rendering in browsers that support CoreAnimation. Both are universal binaries (PowerPC and Intel 32), and the WebKit plugin also supports Intel 64. Both require Mac OS X 10.5 or later.
