"View the heavens on your computer from any place on Earth, in the Solar System, or beyond. Witness celestial events thousands of years in the past or future. Voyager includes millions of stars, clusters, nebulae, and galaxies visible only through powerful telescopes. This professional version of our astronomy software is designed for the advanced user with a serious interest in the field. Voyager can be used to control computer-driven telescopes to show you what's being simulated on your computer screen. This release includes a powerful new set of features and capabilities." --description from Carina's website (of the current version, 4.5)

Carina Software currently sells Voyager 4.5 for OS X, and no longer sells or supports versions for OS 9 or earlier. The first archive is of the Voyager II CD-ROM version but apparently stripped of the additional data files that would have been stored on the CD. The second archive is of the floppy version. This program will run on a Mac Plus with System 6!

The 3rd, larger download contains the Sky Gallery CD. Read the included installation instructions for usage.

Just found it in an old floppy of mine. Has some foreign files on it but when i copied the floppy back in '87 they were already there. It still works, it's a bootable floppy in MFS format, the trash has customized icon and instead of "Trash" it says "Black Hole". I have no idea if this customization was made by someone or it was sold like this. I can upload the disk "as is" to avoid any further alteration to it or i can clean it up, i think the foreign files are some macwrite documents totally unrelated to tellstar. I think it's the Halley's Comet edition.

This is one of the more stable astronomy applications I've used, not to mention it occupies very little disk space! Truly a great programming work. The printable skymaps alone really make Voyager II a valuable tool.

There was an old program called TellStar by Spectrum Holobyte that I would like to get my hands on as well. A catalog that I have says that the TellStar II Halley's Comet Edition was available for Mac also.

I got it to work in Bas and Sheep, too.
