VirtualDisk v2.0.2 is Disk Cataloging software from the early 1990's and was created by Roger D. Bates (Continuum Software).

The DL is a compressed StuffIt 3.6 .sit archive of Disk Copy 4.2 floppy disk image of original 800K DD floppy disk media. It extracts to a file labelled "Media Management.image".

This complete VirtualDisk package from 1994 contains the following software items:

1:  VirtualDisk v2.0.2   Dec 1994
2:  DiskDup+ v2.6a   Dec 1994
3:  EasyLabels v1.3.3a   Dec 1994

VirtualDisk is a Control Panel, once activated it catalogs all removable media content when ejected from Macintosh computers.

DiskDup+ (perhaps the most well known of Roger D. Bates softwares), duplicates and mounts floppy disk media etc.

EasyLabels is labeling software that uses Avery Label templates to print floppy disk and other media, labels.

the name sounds like it should be a RAM disk utility.

Yep, I was thinking it could be a name for a VM's drive software.

Roger Bates also made RAM Disk software too. He named that one better Smile
