Guides on emulating older applications

This is a Mac OS 8, 9 and X Eudora plug-in that enables many hidden features of Eudora Pro (and Eudora Lite, to a lesser extent), from version 3 onward, though many of them will only do anything useful in version 4, 5, 6 and (presumably) onward.

Some of the coolest features:

May 20, 2006

This plugin should work with 100% functionality in Eudora 4, 90% functionality in Eudora 5 and 6 (some features were disabled by Qualcomm), and may or may not work at all, with rather minimal functionality, in Eudora 3.

Note: The features themselves are either a) self-explanatory, or b) so geeky that if you don't know what they mean already you shouldn't mess with them. See the read me file.

I'm still using Eudora under OS X 10.2. Smile Partly because it also runs under OS 9, so I can access downloaded emails when booting in either OS (unfortunately the fools at my ISP have crippled their system, so I can't actually connect to the internet or download new emails under OS 9 any longer).

I'm not sure this plug-in adds anything actually useful to me though.

Nice post. I think most Eudora users migrated to Claris Emailer X.X, as they are very similar.
