Compatibility
Architecture: PPC (Carbonized)

There are only 3 updaters required to upgrade from version 5.0 in order to get you to ver. 5.2.3
That is what the first download includes plus a serializer.
"Toast Titanium 5.1.1 Update" to update from 5.0.x to get you to ver. 5.1.1
"Toast Titanium 5.2.1 Update" to update from 5.1.x to get you to ver. 5.2.1
"Toast Titanium 5.2.3 Update" to update from 5.2.1 to get you to ver. 5.2.3

All versions of Toast 5 will run (but not install) in 8.6 if you install Carbon Lib 1.6.

Yes. I used it on my MDD with Pioneer Superdrive. Any version of v5 can do it.

And I'm sure Toast v4 also supported burning DVDs, on my old Que Firewire DVD burner (now binned, err, recycled).

Does this version support the creation of DVDs?

Found the 5.0.2 updater (and lots of other stuff) here:

http://www.rawsound.com/archive/

Shouldn't be any other updates needed for Toast 5.

This is the Toast 5 Titanium page to keep. The other pages are now redundant and can be deleted. If anybody wants to upload the other apps from their Toast CD, it should be done separately with an individual page for each application, such as iView, for example.

sorry guys,

Toast 5.1.2 was the max for OS9, as I detailed below.

And although I realise that the Toast 5 app will be extremely useful to many, many users, it would be more in the spirit of the site if you uploaded the full disc image, including the other utilities that came with Toast 5.

I don't want to have to upload the full 5.0.0 disc image with all the key updates, removing yours.

I now have the toast 5.2 CD, with the 5.2.3 update! I shall add these when I got some time. This update will run on OS X and OS 9.1 only.

The Toast 5.2 CD will be up later on! Laughing out loud

Thanks so much for uploading this! I'm not sure what the absolute minimum requirements are, but I can verify it works with OS 8.6. I'm pretty sure it was updated to version 5.2.3, and that it was compatible with OS X but did not require it, so if anyone can find a more recent version or updater then please go ahead and upload it.

Any serial number. Go for it! Smile

I don't mind putting my old serial up, And the full cd image, if Balrog's version isn't better - I'm on Toast 7 now.

Just to say, after I bought this (for my MDD) after using Toast 4 (on my iMac G3 with external burner - a Que Drive) for a couple of years, I thought this was the best software I'd ever bought. It was so good, like my MDD. The Spin Doctor extra that comes with it was worth 10x the purchase price alone - got all my old MC (music cassette for you young 'uns) off tape and into AIFF and mp3 in no time. Vinyl still to do.

I've also got Toast 4.1.2 somewhere, no longer boxed it'll be in my bookcase stash of about 2000 cd's/dvd's.

Yes you will need a serial number for this. I will add a working one shortly, no this isn't the cracked version. I think its just Toast 5 Lite.

This is another one where I have the original media, as I'm sure many of us do. The xact version number is critical here, anything up to v5.1.2 worked in OS9, if you disabled Apple's Disc Burning extensions - used for burning CD's from within iTunes and the Finder. Otherwise it was nothing later then v5.0.2 which allowed Apple Disc Burning to work. v5.1.3 up to v5.2.3 was OSX only.

I only have v5.0.0, and all the updates, but does someone, by luck, have v5.1.2 on their retail CD ?

If this isn't a cracked version (if one even exists), you may need a serial to run for the first time.
