I downloaded the 3.0.9 update and installed it on top of 3.0.6 archived above. The install went fine (no errors reported) but when I tried to run the updated app, I got a message stating that the serial number was no longer valid. The app then quit with no option to update the serial number.

I fussed with the stuff for awhile but ultimately backed the update out completely to get TTP working again.

MikeTomTom,

No, I am using the number I see on the image without the date. My experience with TechTool is that the exact number that is required is built into each disc individually.

However, I checked with MicroMat®. 3.0.9 is not freeware or abandonware. They will include it with the latest version of TechTool for free, but it is not abandonware.

So I am planning to buy the newest version I can use and add $12.99 to get 3.0.9 on CD.

@wnlewis: You're not trying to enter the 2nd row of numbers too? Its a date of purchase I think, not part of the top row of numbers.

I was not able to use TechTool Pro 3.0.6 because the serial number in the image above does not work with the file that is downloaded.

Should I purchase a license from MicroMat®? Or can someone supply a correct serial number?

Thanks,

Neal Lewis
